Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist
Location: Slavonski Brod, Croatia
Employment Type: Full-Time | Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri
Pay Range: 140, 000 - 145, 000
About the Role
You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive environmental health and safety programs to protect employees and surrounding communities. The role ensures compliance with regulations, mitigates workplace hazards, and supports the organization’s safety culture through inspections, risk assessments, and employee training. You will also assist management with reporting, program development, and facility-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
•Design, develop, and oversee EHS programs and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and workplace safety
•Conduct health programs to recognize, evaluate, and control occupational hazards and environmental risks
•Identify hazardous conditions and implement corrective actions, including protective measures and revised work procedures
•Take preliminary samples and measurements of hazardous substances and environmental factors
•Deliver employee training and enforce use of personal protective equipment
•Assist with facilities programs, projects, and management reporting
•Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, compliance, and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
•5+ years of experience in EHS program management or industrial safety
•Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards
•Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety program implementation
•Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
•Ability to prepare reports and deliver training effectively
Preferred Qualifications
•Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar certification
•Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
•Knowledge of hazardous materials management and environmental compliance programs
•Experience assisting with facility projects and EHS audits
