Scheduler II
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Scheduler II in Sterling Heights, MI, to support project and program development schedules for defense-related initiatives. This role plays a key part in executing DoD-funded projects, ensuring compliance with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles. The position will collaborate with Project Finance and Program Management to develop and maintain DoD-compliant schedules and processes.
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain project schedules compliant with DoD guidelines.
- Support Earned Value Management (EVM) implementation on complex defense programs.
- Assist in creating and maintaining monthly program dashboards.
- Work with Control Account Managers (CAM) to develop resource-loaded schedules and performance reporting.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams to ensure schedule compliance.
- Assist with managing program baselines and reporting.
- Travel up to 10%, including occasional trips to Europe.

- 3+ years of experience in Program Scheduling.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as MS Project, Deltek Open Plan, or Primavera.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with DoD contract program scheduling.
- Knowledge of NDIA PASEG, DoD Integrated Master Plan, and Integrated Master Schedule guidelines.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Availability for overtime as needed.
