Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract

Key Responsibilities
- Build and test computer systems to meet performance and functionality requirements
- Develop and execute test procedures and analyze results
- Benchmark and optimize systems using open-source tools (e.G., PassMark, Geekbench)
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, firmware, and software issues
- Document system designs, test results, and performance data
- Perform software requirements analysis, design, development, integration, and testing
- Collaborate across engineering teams and provide technical guidance when needed
- Independently define approaches, manage tasks, and drive projects to completion
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree + 3 years)
- Strong background in computer hardware/software interactions
- Experience with benchmarking tools (PassMark, Geekbench)
- Proficiency with scripting and Linux operating systems
- U.S. Citizenship (required)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Familiarity with PCIe, USB, NVMe, and industry-standard interfaces
- Experience with environmental qualification testing
- Strong troubleshooting skills for system, hardware, and firmware issues
- Knowledge of sonar, defense, or mission-critical systems a plus
- This role is fully on-site in Manassas, VA
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements
