Press Brake Operator
Location: Lansing, MI
Hourly Rate: $20 - $24 (depending on experience)
Shifts Available: 2nd Shift
Employment Type: Direct Hire with Excellent Benefits
Summary: We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our clients team in Lansing, MI. As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a crucial role in maximizing company assets by efficiently operating press brake machinery. Your focus will be on ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and timely delivery to meet both internal and external customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and work instructions to set up tooling in the press brake for optimal results.
- Load parts into the press brake and align them accurately.
- Operate the press brake according to specifications and requirements.
- Understand the functionality of the press brake pendant and ensure safe operation.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and support lean initiatives within the department.
- Uphold the company's mission, vision, and values in daily activities.
- Maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Ensure high levels of housekeeping in the work area, including adherence to 5S standards.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
- Attendance/Dependability: Demonstrate punctuality and reliable attendance.
- Initiative/Independence: Show the ability to take on new tasks and expand skills with minimal supervision.
- Adherence to Policy: Follow quality environmental policies and comply with AS9100 and IS14001 standards.
- Adherence to Safety: Strictly adhere to safety procedures, security protocols, and wear appropriate PPE.
- High School Diploma required.
- Certifications related to press brake operation preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years'experience in press brake operation.
- Comprehensive understanding of press brakes and their functionalities.
- Completion of press brake operations training (in-house or equivalent certification from an external source).
