Location: Florham Park, NJ
Employment Type: Full-Time | Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri
Pay Range: Up to $73.65 per hour

About the Role
Our client is seeking an Advanced CAD Specialist to develop and apply cutting-edge computer-aided design methods for products that support national security missions. In this role, you will create and revise designs, drawings, and bills of material while contributing as a technical leader or individual contributor on small design or test teams. You will solve complex technical problems and help advance innovative solutions in a high-tech, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop and apply CAD software engineering methods, theories, and techniques to solve technical problems
•Create new designs or revise existing drawings, models, and bills of material
•Lead or contribute as a technical expert on small design or test teams
•Provide technical solutions to complex design and fabrication challenges
•Integrate new ideas, optimize alternatives, and establish contingency plans for design projects
•Support mechanical design, part fabrication, and assembly of electronics as needed
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience
•Proficiency with strategic CAD and file management tools (Pro-E/Creo or SolidWorks preferred)
•Strong knowledge of design domain, mechanical design, and electronics assembly
•Creative thinker with ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
•Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
•U.S. Citizenship required (government contract requirement)

•Experience leading or contributing to high-complexity design projects
•Ability to integrate new ideas and optimize alternatives in design solutions
•Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
