Advanced CAD Specialist

Position Overview
Seeking an Advanced CAD Specialist to support mechanical design, modeling, and drawing development for advanced defense systems. This role focuses on CAD design, BOM creation, and product development in a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise CAD models, drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Develop mechanical designs for components and assemblies
- Support design, fabrication, and integration of hardware
- Apply CAD engineering methods to solve complex design challenges
- Collaborate with engineering and test teams
- Provide technical solutions and design improvements
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s + 3 years)
- U.S. Citizenship required
Key Skills
- CAD tools: Creo (Pro/E) or SolidWorks
- Mechanical design & product development
- Experience with part fabrication and assembly (electronics/mechanical)
- Strong understanding of design processes and engineering drawings
- Ability to optimize designs and develop alternatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in defense or complex engineering environments
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
Work Environment
- Onsite –McLeansville, NC
- Collaborative engineering and design team environment
