Position Overview
Progeny Systems is seeking an Advanced Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of next-generation torpedo guidance and control systems for the Department of Defense.
This position supports high-reliability, mission-critical hardware programs involving power systems, analog and digital circuit design, and FPGA-based hardware description, directly contributing to warfighter capabilities.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM discipline
-
Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience
-
OR Master’s degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
-

Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance
-
Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Key Responsibilities
-
Design and analyze AC-DC and DC-DC power systems and power control circuits
-
Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware
-
Design and develop complex analog circuits, including:
-
Amplifiers
-
Filters
-
Power supplies
-
Signal conditioning circuits
-

Develop and implement VHDL for hardware description and digital design
-
Design and troubleshoot high-speed digital circuits and systems
Preferred Skills and Experience

Strong expertise in power system design, including:

DC/DC converters

Buck

Boost

LDO

AC/DC power architectures

Experience with communication protocols:

CAN

SPI

I2C

Ethernet

Multilayer PCB design experience

Design of safety-significant circuits

Background in defense, automotive, or medical device industries
