Advanced Engineering Technician
Location: Quincy, MA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Hours: 40 hrs/week
Pay Range: $33.44 per hour
 

About the Role
As an Advanced Engineering Technician supporting our client, you will play a hands-on role in the development, testing, and improvement of complex electro-mechanical systems and prototype hardware. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and cross-functional teams to support mission-critical projects. This position offers exposure to advanced technologies and unique opportunities to expand your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
•Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics
•Construct, modify, debug, and calibrate tools, equipment, and systems
•Perform testing, troubleshooting, and adjustment of complex electro-mechanical hardware
•Design and build basic tooling or fixtures for specialized tasks
•Conduct and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters
•Analyze data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend process improvements
•Support engineering activities such as prototype fabrication, assembly, and check-out

Required Qualifications
•Associate’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering technician or similar role
•U.S. Citizenship (due to work performed within secured facilities)
•Proficiency using fabrication tools and handling complex hardware builds
•Strong electrical and mechanical assembly skills (electrical focus preferred)
•Ability to organize, analyze, and document technical data
•Strong communication and teamwork skills

•Experience working in the undersea systems domain
•Background with advanced or experimental hardware environments
