Advanced Mechanical Engineer (Thermal & Structural Analysis)
Location: McLeansville, NC
Pay: Up to $58.37/hour
Clearance: Ability to Obtain Secret | U.S. Citizenship Required
Work Type: Hybrid / Flexible Onsite
Overview:
Seeking an Advanced Mechanical Engineer to support thermal and structural analysis of complex undersea hardware systems. This role focuses on simulation, modeling, and performance analysis in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thermal and structural analysis of mechanical components
- Support design optimization for undersea hardware systems
- Collaborate with design engineering and manufacturing teams
- Develop and validate 3D mechanical models and CAD designs
- Analyze performance using engineering simulation tools
- Support documentation including technical reports and engineering analysis
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience (or Master’s + 3 years)
- Strong experience in thermal and structural analysis
- Proficiency with ANSYS and MATLAB
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling tools
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering standards
Preferred:
- Experience supporting defense or undersea systems
- Strong background in simulation-driven design
- Experience preparing technical reports or engineering documentation
- Ability to lead or support complex engineering projects
