Our client, a national Architectural & Engineering firm, is seeking a Project Coordinator/Architect to join their growing team in Grand Rapids, MI. With nearly 50 years of industry experience, they have built a reputation as a full-service firm serving residential, commercial, and municipal markets. Their team of Architects and Civil Engineers collaborates to develop spaces that build strong communities.
About the Role:
We are looking for a team-oriented, personable, and self-driven individual to take ownership of this role. As a Project Coordinator/Architect, you will support the team with precision and efficiency while ensuring tasks are completed on schedule. You will manage multiple small to medium-sized projects independently, with minimal oversight. This role focuses on developing construction documents while also handling code reviews, building audits, client meetings, and full project management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage multiple projects of varying scope (minor, medium, and large).
- Work collaboratively with Project Principals and Senior Managers to achieve project goals.
- Define project needs, set budgets, establish schedules, and manage projects for profitability using office standard software and reports.
- Oversee construction administration activities, including contracts, observation trips, shop drawing reviews, processing applications for payment, bulletins, change orders, and project close-out.
- Lead business development efforts for both existing and new clients, while maintaining strong relationships with clients across the Midwest region.
- Licensed Architect with 5+ years of experience OR 8+ years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Revit is required (AutoCAD experience is a plus but not required).
- LEED Accreditation is desirable.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
