Position Overview
Seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to support vehicle system integration, prototype builds, and validation for military ground vehicles. This role focuses on build planning, cross-functional coordination, and system-level verification.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead prototype build, integration, and delivery activities
- Develop and manage vehicle build schedules and fabrication plans
- Coordinate subsystem integration with prototype shop teams
- Support hardware procurement and shop work orders
- Direct mechanics during subsystem installation
- Monitor Engineering BOM and release plan execution
- Track materials and resolve “late-to-need”issues
- Generate and manage Engineering Problem Reports (EPRs)
- Support system verification, testing, and issue resolution
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Key Skills
- Systems integration & prototype build support
- Experience with Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, Oracle (preferred)
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills
- Ability to coordinate across engineering and manufacturing teams
Preferred Experience
- Ground combat vehicle experience
- Experience working in prototype shop or vehicle build environments
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work onsite full-time
- Ability to work around military vehicles (ASR requirements may apply)
- Occasional evening/weekend overtime
Work Environment
- Onsite –Sterling Heights, MI
- Hands-on work in prototype shop and vehicle integration environments
