Associate Systems Engineer (Vehicle Integration)
Sterling Heights, MI
$35–$39/hour
Position Overview
Seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to support vehicle system integration, prototype builds, and validation for military ground vehicles. This role focuses on build planning, cross-functional coordination, and system-level verification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead prototype build, integration, and delivery activities
  • Develop and manage vehicle build schedules and fabrication plans
  • Coordinate subsystem integration with prototype shop teams
  • Support hardware procurement and shop work orders
  • Direct mechanics during subsystem installation
  • Monitor Engineering BOM and release plan execution
  • Track materials and resolve “late-to-need”issues
  • Generate and manage Engineering Problem Reports (EPRs)
  • Support system verification, testing, and issue resolution

Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Key Skills
  • Systems integration & prototype build support
  • Experience with Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, Oracle (preferred)
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to coordinate across engineering and manufacturing teams

Preferred Experience
  • Ground combat vehicle experience
  • Experience working in prototype shop or vehicle build environments

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work onsite full-time
  • Ability to work around military vehicles (ASR requirements may apply)
  • Occasional evening/weekend overtime

Work Environment
  • Onsite –Sterling Heights, MI
  • Hands-on work in prototype shop and vehicle integration environments
