Salary: $100, 000 –$110, 000 (based on experience)
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Buyer to support procurement and materials planning within a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for an entry to mid-level purchasing professional to gain hands-on experience working closely with suppliers, production, and internal teams.
This role focuses on order management, expediting, supplier coordination, and cost control to ensure materials are delivered on time and aligned with production needs.
What You'll Do
- Manage purchase orders from placement through delivery
- Track and update order status to ensure on-time delivery
- Communicate directly with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and shipment schedules
- Expedite orders and proactively resolve delays or shortages
- Coordinate with internal teams to support production schedules and customer delivery timelines
- Assist in sourcing new vendors and evaluating supplier performance
- Support cost reduction initiatives and maintain favorable pricing (PPV)
- Participate in supplier communication, audits, and performance reviews
- Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of purchasing or buyer experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience procuring electronic, electromechanical components, or production materials preferred
- Strong communication skills with both suppliers and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or Purchasing certification
- Experience working in a contract manufacturing (CM) environment
