CAE Engineer Durability
-Conduct durability CAE analysis to support transmission and driveline activities. Project work includes new programs such as 10-speed transmissions, hybrid, and BEV as well as current programs such as 6R, 6F, and axles. -Use analytical tools and techniques to drive new designs as well as resolve issues relating to manufacturing and quality -Investigate MCR opportunities -Interpret results and draw reasonable conclusions -Document results -Communicate effectively with engineers, designers, technicians, suppliers, and management -Lead DV (design verification) efficiency efforts by designing appropriate hardware tests, analyzing the results, and correlating FE models. Must be able to work effectively with systems, design, and test engineers, metallurgy, and metrology.
-Knowledge of six sigma beneficial
-Minimum of 2 years experience in Durability CAE
-Minimum MS in mechanical engineering or related field
