Position Description:
We are looking for a vehicle dynamics engineer, with emphasis on an analytical skillset, to be a part of our vehicle dynamics CAE team. In this position, you would be developing advanced Vehicle Dynamics modeling/analysis capability to meet the needs of current/future Ford vehicle programs and a more analytical Vehicle Engineering. Responsibilities include building CAE models (ADAMS, CarSim, etc.) from component and/or sub-system data, correlating these CAE models to actual vehicle performance, and using these CAE models to solve real world design problems, ensuring that a vehicle design robustly meets all performance targets. This position involves significant amounts of interaction with Chassis Engineering, as well as vehicle dynamics development engineers. This position also offers the opportunity to work with highly motivated and experienced engineers on the Ford Vehicle Dynamics team while learning about and developing the technologies Ford will use on future vehicles.
Skills Preferred:
Understanding of vehicle dynamics theory, and experience in chassis design practices
Experience Required:
Familiarity with full vehicle and lab testing methods, vehicle dynamics theory/application, and chassis design knowledge.
Experience Preferred:
- Experience using various programming languages for engineering data analysis with specific codes including MATLAB, C++, VisualBasic, or similar languages.
- 5 plus years experience using ADAMS, or other MBD CAE tools
- 5 plus years experience running reduced DOF veh dyn simulations with tools such as VI-CarRealTime, CarSim, CarMaker, etc.

BS Engineering

MS Engineering
