CAE Engineer Multi-body Dynamics
Perform Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) analyses of engine mechanical system dynamics (e.G. Valvetrain, cranktrain, cam drive). Provide design directions to the Engine Component team. Provide dynamics loads and boundary conditions to support Durability CAE and NVH CAE efforts. Develop, validate and apply new dynamics CAE methodologies to support Engine design process in the concept, prototype, and production stages. Collaborate with Component and System Engineers to resolve engine component and system issues for both prototype and production programs.
Familiarity with multi-body dynamic modeling software (e.G. AVL Excite, Ricardo Valdyn, LMS VL Motion, MSC ADAMS, SIMPACK, or similar). Knowledge of statistical methods and their applications to engineering; knowledge of functions and components of an internal combustion engine; basic knowledge of scripting and programming in MATLAB; Good communication skills. High level of motivation to address quality and engineering issues, to improve total customer satisfaction and to function in a learning environment.
Experience in applying CAE methods for the design of engine components and systems.
Candidates with training or experience as follows are welcome to submit an application: FEA meshing, modeling, in-depth engine component knowledge (valvetrain, cranktrain, cam drive), and / or worked with CAE analyst.
MSME or equivalent.
Matt started with Contract Professionals, Inc. in November 2014. He began as a Technical Recruiter assigned to the automotive team. He worked hand in hand with account managers, to spearhead specific projects with CPI's clients. Driven to succeed, Matt achieved his goal(s) within the first year. He continued working on accounts and he learned the leadership process throughout his 4-year career at CPI.
When the opportunity presented itself, he was promoted to Account Manager of the automotive division. He navigates the challenges in this new role by utilizing the senior staff in the office.
Matt was awarded a Bachelor of Art in Environmental Studies at University of Michigan. Matt also received an Associate degree in Automotive Mechanics from a local community college.
Matt is thriving as a new Account Manager at CPI, and he looks forward to the challenges that await him in the workforce solutions industry.
