Position Description:
- Lead development of Hybrid and Battery Electric Vehicle (HEV/BEV) motor/transmission system NVH CAE development to meet program timing and deliverables. - Conduct NVH CAE analyses to compute gear, pump and electric motor vibrational and acoustic responses using the finite element and boundary element methods. - Lead hands-on CAE training to other transmission development engineers. - Lead electrification NVH CAE capability development - Support motor commodity, transaxle and mount Design & Release teams with design direction. - Lead CAE optimization analysis on housing, gear and mounts. - Lead NVH issue resolution by conducting rootcause CAE analysis and leveraging diagnostic testing. - Support target setting and cascading to sub-system and component levels. - Support HEV/BEV motor/transmission NVH requirement/HealthChart development. - Support HEV/BEV motor/transmission system NVH design rule development. - Provide design recommendations for advanced concepts.
Skills Preferred:
- Strong communication, planning and project management skills with a proven track record for delivery - Demonstrated problem solving skills - Self starter capable of learning new technology
Experience Required:
- 2+ years of industry experience in NVH CAE development - 3+ years hand-on experience in noise and vibration CAE tools such as finite element method (FEM) and boundary element method (BEM)
Experience Preferred:
Past experience in transmission and/or electric transaxle development a plus
