CNC Machinist (5-Axis)

Job Description
Join a fast-paced manufacturing team where precision and skill drive innovation. This role focuses on setting up and operating advanced 5-axis CNC machines to create intricate mechanical components for high-quality production.
Pay: Up to $35/hour
Location: Lapeer, MI
Shift: Monday-Thursday 4: 30pm-3: 00am
(Overtime available on Fridays 4: 00pm-1: 00am)
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical data to meet exact product specifications.
- Set up tools, fixtures, and materials, ensuring precision for 5-axis machining operations.
- Operate CNC machines for turning, boring, facing, and threading metal workpieces with accuracy.
- Inspect finished parts to maintain strict quality standards, making real-time adjustments as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance, including tool sharpening and machine cleaning.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required;5+ years of CNC machining experience, with emphasis on 5-axis operations.
- Expert knowledge of 5-axis machining techniques, tooling, and materials.
- Strong ability to read technical drawings and perform precise calculations.
- Solid math skills, including decimals and fractions.
- Proven capability to work both independently and within a team setting.

Physical Requirements:

- Skilled use of hands for handling tools and materials.
