Job Description
Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist
Location: Plymouth, MI
Department: Production
Type: Direct Hire, 2nd shift
Pay Rate: $19-$25 per hour (based on skills assessment)
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator Machinist to join our client's team in Plymouth, MI. As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will operate computer numerical control (CNC) machining centers to perform various machine functions on metallic workpieces, including boring, facing, and threading.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Edit programs on CNC machines, including setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation.
- Assist in setting up CNC machines by installing and adjusting tools and attachments.
- Verify settings and maintain specifications according to international standards.
- Troubleshoot processes, maintain equipment, and ensure safe operations.
- Document actions and maintain production and quality logs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong conceptual skills and ability to improve processes.
- Effective verbal communication and technical skills.
- Experience with controls, instrumentation, and inventory management.
- Attention to detail and judgment in executing tasks accurately.
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of CNC machining experience.
