CNC Maintenance Technician
Plymouth, Michigan
Direct Hire Pay Rate: $25 - $35 per hour depending on experience

Our client is currently seeking a CNC Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team in Plymouth, Michigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, such as production machines and equipment, ensuring smooth operations within the production department.

Summary: The CNC Maintenance Technician will perform various duties related to troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. This includes observing mechanical devices in operation, dismantling devices to access defective parts, examining parts for imperfections, adjusting functional parts, repairing or replacing defective parts, and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to access and remove defective parts.
  • Inspects parts for imperfections and dimensional changes.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Sets up and operates metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.
  • Repairs electrical equipment.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Five years related experience and/or training;or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand;walk;sit;use hands to finger, handle, or feel;and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
