Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer / Project Manager to lead land development and infrastructure projects across the United States. This role is responsible for overseeing projects from planning and design through construction, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.

This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders while providing technical leadership and mentorship to internal teams.

Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Onsite)
Compensation: $100, 000 –$120, 000 (Direct Hire)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 10+ years of experience in civil engineering and project management, preferably in land development
  • Proven experience managing large, complex projects from concept through completion
  • Strong knowledge of civil design and engineering principles
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, or similar tools
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects including land/site development, roadways, water systems, sewer systems, and drainage
  • Manage full project lifecycle including proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, and deliverables
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies
  • Monitor project performance, ensuring quality, cost control, and timely delivery
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and manage scope changes as needed
  • Conduct site visits and provide technical support to field teams
  • Lead and mentor engineers, designers, and technical staff
  • Promote collaboration and continuous improvement across project teams
