Civil Engineer / Project Manager
Job Description
What You'll Do:
As the Civil Engineer / Project Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind a variety of infrastructure projects, managing everything from planning and design to construction and completion. You'll work closely with a dynamic team of engineers and consultants, guiding them to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. Your leadership and technical expertise will be key to ensuring the success of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects including land development, roads, water, sewer, and drainage systems.
- Prepare and review proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, and reports.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to keep projects on track and compliant with all regulations.
- Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle, making adjustments as needed to stay within scope and budget.
- Mentor and motivate a project team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Travel to project sites as required for inspections and site assessments.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 5+ years of experience in civil engineering and project management, ideally within land development.
- Expertise with civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex, large-scale projects on time and within budget, while maintaining scope and quality standards.
- Must be located within a commutable distance of Idaho Falls, ID for occasional site visits.
Salary: $95, 000-110, 000
Health: Medical, Dental, FSA, Life, and AD&D Insurance (eligibility starts the first of the month after hire).
401(k): Company contributions and automatic enrollment.
Other Benefits: $50/month phone allowance, 8 paid holidays, 136 hours of PTO in 2025 (prorated based on start date), and 160 hours starting in 2026, with increases based on tenure.
