Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Civil Engineer / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support land development and infrastructure projects from planning and design through permitting and construction. This is a hands-on, onsite role working closely with project managers, engineers, and consultants using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare civil engineering drawings, plans, and specifications for site development, roadways, drainage, and utilities

Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop detailed designs, layouts, and models

Collect and analyze survey data, zoning requirements, utility information, and jurisdictional codes

Assist with engineering calculations, technical reports, and permitting documentation

Review plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance

Maintain organized project files, drawings, and revision records
-
Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and regulatory agencies to support approvals

Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and occasional site visits
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required (PE is a plus)

3+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably in land development or infrastructure

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design

Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving and organizational skills

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively onsite
