The Commodity Manager is responsible for managing several commodities, identifies suppliers, and conducts annual cost reports. The Commodity Manager identifies, develops and implements supplier and product value stream improvement initiatives through effective use and support of the strategic sourcing process, cost targeting, supplier performance planning, supplier development and value analysis/value engineering processes (VA/VE) as well as leading a team of Supply Management professionals.
" 5 years' experience in Commodity Management
" Knowledge of 5S, Six Sigma, ISO/9001 or TS/16949 certifications
" Knowledge of Negotiations and cost analysis
" APQP knowledge/experience
" Create and maintain development plans for direct reports
" Global market knowledge for sourcing raw Materials including but not limited to engines, suspensions, transmissions, powertrain
" Lead Negotiations on supply agreements with suppliers
" Analyze data to identify cost reductions, risk, and innovations
" Analyze data to understand global influences of the market
" Create and maintain relationships both globally and domestically with suppliers and clients
