Salary: $95K–$100K
Our client is seeking a Civil Engineer / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support the planning, design, entitlement, and construction of land development and infrastructure projects. This is an onsite opportunity based in Scottsdale, AZ, working closely with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams on a variety of civil engineering projects.
Position Overview
The Civil Engineer / EIT will assist with preparing engineering plans, technical documentation, and civil designs for site development, roadway, drainage, and utility projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong AutoCAD Civil 3D experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering drawings, plans, and specifications for civil engineering and land development projects
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to create detailed designs, layouts, and models
- Assist with grading, drainage, utility, and site development design work
- Collect and analyze survey data, zoning information, utility records, and jurisdictional requirements
- Support permitting activities and regulatory compliance documentation
- Review engineering plans and specifications for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain organized project files, drawings, and revision records
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and occasional site visits
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders regarding project requirements and updates
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- EIT certification required;PE license is a plus
- 3+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably within land development or infrastructure projects
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design principles
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
