Construction Surveillance Technician / Assistant Site Security Manager
Job Description
Must possess active TS/SCI clearance and high school diploma or GED. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years (5 years preferred) of direct ICD 705 compliant construction project build experience for CONUS locations. A minimum of 1 year of direct experience working on ICD 705 compliant construction projects as a CST or assistant SSM is required. Intimate knowledge of ICD 705 requirements, including associated Technical Specifications, is essential. Completion of SSM or CST training/certification is mandatory. Candidates must have demonstrated knowledge of SCIF accreditation process and requirements/documentation. Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, are necessary. The ability to sit/stand for long periods and move around frequently at secure construction sites, including navigating uneven surfaces and climbing stairs and ladders, is required.
- Perform all construction surveillance technician functions per ICD705 and monitor all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with ICD705, DoDM5105.21, and the CSP for the secure space facility construction project.
- Work closely with the designated SSM and conduct continuous surveillance of construction workers, materials, and processes to identify any security risk and prevent unauthorized access or compromise of secure project site, materials, tools, and construction processes.
- Document detailed records of all project site construction activities and incidents to support certification requirements. Report any security incidents promptly to the designated SSM.
- In accordance with the CSP and as directed by the SSM, work with access control/escort personnel to ensure secure project site controls and integrity, including site opening/closing and inspections/searches to prevent the introduction of unauthorized persons, materials, and equipment.
