Electrical Engineer
Location: Canonsburg, PA
Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES
As an Electrical Engineer supporting Progeny Systems, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design, integration, testing, and support of advanced torpedo guidance and control systems for the U.S. Department of Defense. This role supports next-generation hardware and software solutions that enhance target detection, acquisition, and system reliability in mission-critical defense applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO ANTICIPATE

Design and analyze AC-DC and DC-DC power systems and power control circuits

Integrate, test, verify, and troubleshoot electrical hardware at the system and board level

Design and develop analog circuits including amplifiers, filters, power supplies, and signal conditioning circuits

Develop and implement VHDL code for hardware description and digital design

Design, analyze, and troubleshoot high-speed digital circuits and systems
-
Support hardware integration, validation testing, and production transition activities
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Strong expertise in power system design, including:
-
DC-DC converters (Buck, Boost, LDO)
-
AC-DC power conversion
-

Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, and Ethernet

Multilayer PCB design experience
-
Design experience with safety-significant or high-reliability circuits
-
Background in automotive, medical, or defense industries
-
Proficiency in VHDL for hardware description and implementation
- Experience with high-speed digital design

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Minimum of 2 years of relevant job-related experience
-
OR master’s degree plus 6 months of job-related experience

Agile development experience preferred

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time.
