Position: Engineering Technician
Location: Canonsburg, PA
Pay Rate: $22.85 –$27.85/hour
Schedule: 100% On-Site
Relocation: Not Available
Position Overview
The Engineering Technician will support engineering activities including design, testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment. This role supports laboratory and research functions within a classified environment.
Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, including vocational training

Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience

Ability to acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks

Ability to fabricate simple hardware as required

General computer and test equipment knowledge
-
May require 1st Class FCC License and Solder Repair Certification
Key Responsibilities
-
Layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems

Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment and components

Perform calibration and alignment checks

Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions

Construct, modify, debug, test, and adjust tools and equipment using drawings and instructions

Implement basic practical process improvement solutions

Conduct and document experiments under the guidance of a senior technician

Construct basic tooling and fixtures to accomplish unique tasks

Organize data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolutions or process improvements

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is required.

This assignment is a U.S. Government contract which requires all applicants to be U.S. Citizens.
