Logistics / Material Handler –Abrams Tank Family of Vehicles

Overview:
Contract Professionals Inc. Is seeking a Logistics / Material Handler to provide support for the Abrams Tank Family of Vehicles. This position involves handling bench stock, repair parts, tools, and Special Tools and Test Equipment (STTE), maintaining stock control and inventory systems, and providing direct support to retrofit and deprocessing teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on logistics experience in a military setting and be able to operate with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, store, and issue bench stock, repair parts, tools, and STTE.

  • Establish and maintain stock control and accounting records (manual and automated).

  • Perform HAZMAT shelf-life surveillance and management.

  • Generate reorder/reorder point (RO/ROP) reports for inventory management.

  • Conduct location accountability surveys and inventories, updating records accordingly.

  • Provide administrative support for Tool Room personnel.

  • Transport repair parts and supplies using MHE or commercial vehicles.

  • Work in varied environmental conditions, including temperature extremes.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 3 years of logistics experience, familiar with military logistics terminology, hand receipts, tool identification, and NSNs.

  • Ability to prepare supply support documentation for retrofit teams.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DA Form 348 to operate forklifts, MHE, and government/commercial vehicles.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);ability to learn Lotus Notes.

  • Must be a U.S. Person and able to travel to military or field sites within the U.S.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and errors.

  • Knowledge of processes, products, and military technology supporting retrofit/deprocessing.

  • Willingness to train on SAMS-E, SARS, LMP, and PBUSE, if required.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs;work in extreme environments, at heights, and on ladders.

  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor when working with all levels of the organization and customers.
