Overview:
Contract Professionals Inc. Is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Test & Evaluation Specialist to support advanced defense systems in Manassas, VA. This role involves test and evaluation of Information Assurance (IA) / Cybersecurity systems for U.S. Navy programs. You’ll work hands-on in the lab environment conducting system testing, troubleshooting, and verification/validation activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and reports.
-
Conduct Verification and Validation for corrective changes.
-
Support informal and formal customer test events.
-
Identify, analyze, and document software/firmware/hardware issues.
-
Configure lab equipment and assist with system stand-up.
-
Install and troubleshoot IA software.
-
Participate in technical and program meetings.
-
Travel as needed to government labs and shipboard installations (domestic and international).
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) plus 2+ years relevant work;Master’s degree also accepted.

Navy background as a Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT) or similar (ST, ET, IT), or Surface Navy experience.

5–10 years of AN/BYG-1 combat systems experience required.

Ability to assemble and test computer equipment.

Understanding of networking/protocols (UDP, TCP/IP, ICMP, encryption).

Basic Linux command line skills.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Experience with Strike Software (TTWCS, TCIP, MDS).
