Position Overview
Contract Professionals, Inc. (CPI) is seeking an experienced Xpedition PCB Designer to support multi-layer printed circuit board development for high-reliability electronic systems. This role works closely with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to execute PCB layout from schematic handoff through routing and final documentation release. This position requires onsite presence in McLeansville, NC approximately three days per week and operates on a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off).

Responsibilities
•Perform PCB layout for complex multi-layer boards (typically 10–16 layers)
•Execute component placement in coordination with electrical and mechanical engineers
•Route fine pitch BGAs and high-density designs
•Support full PCB lifecycle including schematic input, layout, routing, and final documentation
•Generate fabrication documentation packages including BOMs and ODB++ outputs
•Support ECAD library management activities within Xpedition as required
•Participate in onsite design reviews and cross-functional collaboration

Required Qualifications
•Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
•Minimum 7 years of professional PCB layout experience
•Strong proficiency in Siemens Xpedition / Mentor Graphics
•Experience designing 10+ layer printed circuit boards
•Experience routing fine pitch BGAs
•U.S. Citizenship required
•Ability to work onsite in McLeansville, NC three days per week

Preferred Qualifications
•Experience with power boards or high-voltage designs
•Familiarity with Mentor Graphics tool suite (xDM, DXdatabook, Hyperlynx)
•Knowledge of IPC standards and PCB fabrication processes
•Experience supporting schematic capture
•Strong communication and collaboration skills
