Location: McLeansville, NC
Pay Rate: Up to $49.00/hour
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM) field
-
2+ years of job-related experience

OR Master’s degree with 6 months of related experience

Clearance Requirements
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Position Overview
As a Mechanical Analysis Engineer supporting Undersea Mission Systems, you will work within a cross-functional engineering team responsible for the design and analysis of critical undersea hardware. This role supports research-driven development and mission-critical mechanical system performance.
Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical design and structural analysis of undersea hardware systems

Support cross-functional engineering teams throughout design and development lifecycle

Conduct modeling and simulation analysis to validate hardware performance

Support prototype development, testing, and fabrication efforts
-
Ensure compliance with technical, government, and industry standards
Preferred Skills & Experience
-
Experience with ANSYS and MATLAB analysis tools (ability to train others preferred)

Experience with Shock Grade B analysis
-
Strong knowledge of material specifications and metallurgy
-
Proficiency with CAD modeling tools for mechanical models and drawings
-
Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods
-
Experience working within technical and government standards environments
