Job Description
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
Are you passionate about solving complex technical challenges in secure communications? CPI is seeking a Software Engineer to join a collaborative team designing and developing next-generation cryptographic solutions. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on technical leadership while driving automation, testing, and development efforts that directly support national security.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the software development process and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Automate Petalinux/Yocto-based build and test processes.
- Collaborate with software and FPGA developers to debug and resolve issues.
- Perform functional, robustness, and performance testing on new releases.
- Apply technical standards and methodologies to solve complex problems in innovative ways.
- Stay current with technology trends and champion process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’experience building Petalinux/Yocto for Xilinx SoC platforms (Zynq Ultrascale / Versal).
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and related tools.
- Experience with GitLab for version control and automation.
- Self-starter, capable of independently driving build/test automation and debugging.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker and Podman on Linux.
- Experience with Wind River Linux.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership in cross-functional teams.
