Senior Material Handling Associate
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Employment Type: Full-Time (Contract) | Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri

About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Material Handling Associate to join their team in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will support material management processes by reviewing stock records, identifying shortages, preparing documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to the production floor. You will play a key part in keeping operations on schedule while working collaboratively with planners, managers, and internal customers.


Key Responsibilities
•Review stock records and prepare documentation to ensure material availability for production
•Identify and track material shortages while supporting problem resolution efforts
•Handle, process, and document scrap/salvage parts as required
•Communicate effectively with coworkers, planners, material managers, and internal customers
•Coordinate and prioritize daily tasks to support production requirements
•Kit daily or weekly assembly picks to meet schedule demands
•Handle and process classified material in accordance with requirements


Required Qualifications
•High School diploma or equivalent
•Minimum of 2 years of related experience in material handling, inventory, or logistics
•U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
•Proficiency in using computers to handle routine tasks and enterprise software systems
•Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
•Ability to follow established procedures while working with minimal supervision


Preferred Qualifications
•Knowledge of material planning, control, and inventory methodologies
•Familiarity with bill of materials, manufacturing/test documentation, and drawing tree concepts
•Understanding of government/customer property control standards
•Ability to adapt to changing priorities and problem-solve effectively
•Experience expediting and picking material shortages for manufacturing operations
