About the Role
As a Quality Technician supporting our client’s manufacturing operations, you will provide production expertise to resolve quality issues, perform inspections and testing, and ensure compliance with customer requirements at all stages of the manufacturing process. You will be responsible for reporting quality issues, supporting continuous improvement activities, and ensuring adherence to quality management standards including AS9100/ISO9001.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out product tests and perform independent final inspections of assemblies, reporting all defects

  • Check, progress, and collate accurate build and inspection records

  • Provide technical support for tool/fixture inspection, incoming inspection, and production line quality activities

  • Inspect and audit components at all manufacturing stages

  • Investigate quality issues to identify root causes and raise corrective action reports

  • Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 quality management systems

  • Support inspection meetings and contribute to improvement action plans

  • Maintain calibration system and ensure all equipment is correctly calibrated

  • Assist with new product introduction and internal audits

  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities and KPI achievement

  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem resolution using tools such as 8D and 5 Whys

  • Prepare reports and communicate results to management

  • Support and promote safety, health, and environmental compliance

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of relevant experience as a quality technician

  • 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in defense or automotive industries

  • Knowledge and experience with AS9100D, IATF16949, and ISO9001 standards

  • Proficiency with laser tracker/CMM equipment and ability to program, analyze, and report inspection results

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Problem-solving skills with tools such as 8D and 5 Whys

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently under pressure

  • Must meet background, employment verification, reference, and substance testing standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certificate or formal quality-related training

  • Experience with Solumina, Plex, or Teamcenter systems

  • Defense or automotive industry background

Additional Details

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods

  • Occasional travel up to 10% (including potential international travel)

  • Ability to work overtime as needed
