Job Title: Auxiliary Systems Mechanical Engineer –Fuel Systems
Location: Sterling Heights, MI (Onsite)
Position Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $50.00 –$53.00/hr.

Position Overview
Contract Professionals, Inc. Is seeking an Auxiliary Systems Mechanical Engineer with a focus on fuel systems to support military ground vehicle development programs. This role is responsible for the design, integration, and release of distributed fluid and auxiliary subsystems supporting prototype, production, and sustainment vehicle efforts.

Primary emphasis includes fuel system architecture, integration, and validation within complex vehicle platforms operating in defense environments.

Key Responsibilities
•Design and release fuel and distributed fluid systems to meet vehicle performance and customer requirements
•Develop functional architectures, schematics, and analytical models for fuel and auxiliary systems
•Integrate mechanical subsystems into vehicle platforms meeting safety, environmental, ballistic, and mine blast requirements
•Conduct design and analysis of mechanical components, mechanisms, and mounting systems
•Apply mechanics of materials, welding, fabrication, and material selection principles
•Perform tolerance stack-ups and support engineering change documentation
•Write material requests and shop work requests;track component delivery and inventory
•Support prototype builds, production integration, and sustainment troubleshooting
•Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
•Present subsystem designs and program status to engineering and program leadership
•Direct and oversee CAD model and drawing development

Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
(Electrical Engineering with strong mechanical systems experience considered)
•5–7 years of related mechanical engineering experience
•Experience developing fluid system functional architecture and troubleshooting distributed systems
•Experience supporting prototype and/or production build activities
•Root cause and corrective action experience
•Solid modeling experience with NX and/or Creo
•Ability to travel up to 20% as required
•Ability to obtain a U.S. Security clearance
•U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications
•Experience supporting military ground combat vehicles
•Experience with Teamcenter and Vis Mockup
•Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic systems
•Experience working on fuel systems within mobile platforms

Additional Requirements
•Ability to climb on/off and work in/around military vehicles
•Willingness to work occasional evenings or overtime as required
•Strong communication and organizational skills
•Ability to work independently and within cross-functional integration teams
