Design & Release/Systems Engineer

Performance Parts Division, seeks a Design & Release/Systems Engineer with 3 yrs minimum. The cross functional team develops performance based vehicle upgrades. The position will manage the product lifecycle of exterior body accessories and parts. Project management skills and D&R experience in the North American Vehicle Performance Market are necessary to be successful. The role needs an individual with confident self-direction and skills capability to champion product growth opportunities for performance parts.
Primary Skills Required: + Primary Function - Process Management: Regional Product Assessment, Tracking, and Reporting. + Secondary Function - Engineer: Design & Release of Ford Performance Parts (examples exterior lighting bracketry, chase racks, recovery product, exhaust, intake) + Provide engineering assessment input on cost, feasibility and timing (CFT) for programs development. Interface closely with supplier partners to achieve program success within objectives. + Generate and maintain core documents, including boundary diagrams, P-diagrams, and DFMEAs. + Assess program compliance with design rules and requirements. Develop the related DVP&Rs and compliance plans. + Must be able to work with Global cross functional teams for issue resolution. + Monitor current and past program warranty and address warranty issues as required.
Project / Program Management + D&R or Systems Engineering experience in automotive + Understanding and application of Ford TeamCenter Engineering + Excellent working knowledge of automotive systems + Self-directed, highly motivated, self-starter, and skilled individual with strong demonstrated leadership and presentation skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is expected

Matt started with Contract Professionals, Inc. in November 2014. He began as a Technical Recruiter assigned to the automotive team. He worked hand in hand with account managers, to spearhead specific projects with CPI's clients. Driven to succeed, Matt achieved his goal(s) within the first year. He continued working on accounts and he learned the leadership process throughout his 4-year career at CPI.
Today, Matt is proud to the Recruiting Team Leader of the Automotive Branch. His primary role is to oversee the automotive recruiters as they work to fulfill client expectations.
Matt was awarded a Bachelor of Art in Environmental Studies at University of Michigan. Matt also received an Associate degree in Automotive Mechanics from a local community college.
