Position Description:
Design and Release Engineer - Full Service Supplier (FSS) programs - Manage 3D routing and package CAD layout activity - Manage logical and physical schematic development - Sign-off physical schematics - Support circuit CAE analysis - Lead electrical system compatibility reviews - Utilize best design for manufacturing, assembly, and failure mode avoidance practices - Support logical design data via Metaphase and Team Center Engineering - Create and maintain program specific foundation documents - Direct manufacturing print development, sign-off, and release - Create and maintain harness family complexity - Keep commonality of designs across multiple programs and platforms - Direct and maintain installation illustrations - Maintain design version control - Lead Technical Design Reviews - Manage component and harness part delivery - Perform master harness assessment and part sign-off - Manage manufacturing supplier tooling development, DV/PV, PPAP - Support engine plant builds on-site - Address engine plant and vehicle assembly issues, make necessary design changes - Review pre-production vehicles for potential campaign items and assess warranty impact - Raise and resolve AIMS - Review warranty (AWS) information with supplier on a monthly basis - Support cost analysis reviews
