Job Description
Digital Enterprise Engineer
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Employment Type: Full-Time | Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri (Hybrid: ~95% on-site)
About the Role
You will play a key role on the Digital Engineering team, supporting and advancing the Integrated Digital Enterprise Environment (IDEE). This position focuses on connecting tools, data, and people across engineering and enterprise organizations while building robust digital threads and authoritative sources of truth. You’ll act as a thought leader, helping drive innovation and modernize enterprise-wide digital engineering capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance the Integrated Digital Enterprise Environment (IDEE) across engineering and enterprise teams
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and technology stakeholders to expand connectivity between tools and data systems
- Capture and document software functionality, including data inputs/outputs and system integrations
- Transform manual processes into automated workflows and document new processes
- Identify risks and gaps in IDEE development and system configurations
- Support roadmap development and provide oversight for digital enterprise initiatives
- Operate in an agile environment and adapt to evolving priorities
- Review technical strategies related to system integrations, virtualization, and storage
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience (7+ years preferred)
- Systems Engineering experience with a program execution mindset
- Hands-on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience using Cameo, MagicDraw, or similar tools
- Understanding of Model-Based Design (MBD) and digital engineering principles
- Strong facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to articulate vision and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing and managing digital ecosystems
- Knowledge management experience across engineering organizations
- Experience identifying and mitigating system configuration risks
- Ability to navigate application owners and vendors for data integration efforts
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security clearance
