Location: GDLS Facility (Hybrid –~95% On-Site)
Work Arrangement: Predominantly On-Site

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

    • Other degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields may be considered with relevant experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience

  • Systems Engineering background and execution mindset

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience using Cameo, MagicDraw, or similar tools

  • U.S. Citizenship required

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Due to the nature of this work, non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible for clearance.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES
As a Digital Enterprise Engineer, you will be a member of the Digital Engineering team supporting the Integrated Digital Enterprise Environment (IDEE).
This role is responsible for conceptualizing, overseeing, and deploying improvements and expansions to the IDEE, with a focus on connecting tools, data, and people across engineering and enterprise organizations.

A critical component of this role is the development and sustainment of digital threads across defined Authoritative Sources of Truth (ASoTs), enabling data continuity, traceability, and enterprise interoperability.
You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Information Technology (IT), and other GDLS organizations to enhance connectivity and implement new systems and integrations that support enterprise-wide objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO ANTICIPATE

  • Enhance and expand the Integrated Digital Enterprise Environment (IDEE)

  • Collaborate with engineering organizations, IT, and enterprise stakeholders to grow the connected ecosystem of tools and data

  • Develop and sustain digital threads across Authoritative Sources of Truth (ASoTs)

  • Capture and document software functionality, including data inputs, outputs, and system-to-system integrations

  • Transform manual processes into automated workflows where applicable and document new processes

  • Identify gaps and risks within IDEE development, configuration, and execution

  • Support roadmap development, planning, and oversight for digital enterprise initiatives

  • Review and assess technical support strategies, system integrations, virtualization, and storage solutions

  • Operate within an agile environment and adapt to evolving technical and organizational needs

  • Coordinate with application owners and vendors to support data gathering and integration efforts

  • Perform additional duties as required to support program and enterprise objectives

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles across the program lifecycle

  • Experience with Model-Based Design (MBD) and digital engineering applications

  • Solid understanding of hardware and software development and test disciplines

  • Experience working within complex digital ecosystems

  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder coordination skills

  • Excellent knowledge management capabilities

  • Ability to articulate technical vision to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • Demonstrated ability to identify configuration risks and system gaps

  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
