Electrical Hardware Design Engineer
Location: Dedham, MA
Type: Full-Time Contract
Pay Rate $71.00/hr


Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to design cutting-edge systems that support critical defense and technology missions? This role gives you the opportunity to contribute across the full lifecycle—from requirements analysis and schematic design to manufacturing, testing, and integration.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex hardware systems, including mission computers, sensor processors, and management hardware.

  • Perform schematic capture, define routing constraints, and direct PCB/PWB layout and routing activities.

  • Support manufacturing, integration, test, and qualification of hardware systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Provide technical expertise throughout all program phases.
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree plus 3+ years.

  • Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire.

  • U.S. Citizenship (required for government contract work).
Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite (schematic entry, constraint manager, HyperLynx Signal/Power Integrity analysis).

  • High-speed digital and high-density circuit card design with embedded processors or FPGAs.

  • Knowledge of fiber optic interface design.

  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and Ethernet network testers.

  • Strong understanding of the hardware development lifecycle and advanced materials/packaging techniques.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
