Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Review and develop H/W and S/W requirement documents and test plans
- Support circuit design, component selection, procurement, and prototype hardware debug and builds
- Develop Engineering Design Fixes, and Coordinate Solutions
- Strong record keeping skills with commitment to tracking design changes, debug status, H/W and S/W revisions.
Skills Required:
- Ability to use Engineering Development and Test Tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Capable of Obtaining a Security Clearance if necessary
- Knowledge in many, but not all, of the following areas desired:
- Digital and Analog design including power and thermal analysis.
- Schematic development, component selection, circuit simulation, and PCB layout
- Microprocessor based products and Single Board Form Factors: Client, AMD, ARM, VPX, VME, COM Express.
- Embedded Microcontroller H/W and programming skills (C, C++, Visual Studio)
- Industry standard interfaces and products (PCle, DDRxx, USB, SATA, RS422/485, MIL-1553, Ethernet, CAN, RS422/485, Solid State Drives)
- Graphics/video interfaces (HDMI, DisplayPort, HD-SDI, RS-170, LVDS)
- FPGA Design and Simulation (Xilinx Toolsets)
- EMI/EMC, High Speed Signal Integrity design practices
- Military design and test requirements including MIL-1275, MIL-461, MIL-464, MIL-810
- Six Sigma design tools including DFMEA and Reliability Analysis
Education Requirements:
Bachelor' s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience. (REQUIRED)
