Electronics Product Engineer
Job Description
Are you an innovative problem-solver with a background in mechanical or electrical product development? A leading company in the electronics manufacturing space is seeking a Product Engineer to join their dynamic team. This position offers the chance to engage in both current product maintenance and exciting new product development, playing a crucial role in the design and manufacturing processes.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Compensation: $80, 000 - $90, 000 per year, salary negotiable based on experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical product development.
- SolidWorks proficiency is essential.
- A demonstrated ability to manage projects through all phases of design, testing, and manufacturing, particularly within the electronics field
- Experience with machine shop tools (mills, lathes) is beneficial;familiarity with programming equipment is a bonus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to collaborate across departments.
- Adept at problem-solving and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales and product management to design and develop new products tailored to customer specifications.
- Create and revise engineering drawings to support new product launches and current product updates.
- Lead the engineering change process from initial design to full implementation.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routers for new parts;update as necessary for existing components.
- Partner with process engineers to ensure a seamless transition from product design to production.
- Participate in the development of testing and validation processes to guarantee successful product launches.
- Work closely with the prototype lab to create prototypes and facilitate customer approvals.
- Engage with cross-functional teams—engineering, production, and quality—to drive continuous improvement and engineering changes.
- Design and develop tools, fixtures, and other essential components to support manufacturing processes.
