About the Role:

Embedded Modeling & Code Generation Lead Engineer will be working on our future products team. Join a dynamic group of software and controls engineers responsible for the design, development and support of embedded software solutions for the world's premier land-based combat vehicle producer.

On-Site Presence:

Hybrid - Due to the nature of the work, this role may require on-site presence up to 70%

  • 9-80 Work Schedule (This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.)

Responsibilities Of The Role Include:
  • Develop Model Based Code Generation capabilities (Matlab, State flow, Rhapsody, Cameo, etc.)
  • Train and Mentor engineers on modeling techniques and code generation.
  • Generate embedded behavior models for Auto-code generation.
  • Work closely with Adjacent teams such as Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity and Safety teams.
  • Integrate model code generation tool suite into DevSecOps Pipeline.
  • Develop, train, and execute Modeling standards.
  • Manage individual priorities, deadlines, deliverables.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / What You Must Have:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or similar discipline (Embedded Software/modeling Development emphasis).
  • 10 years' experience developing embedded software for Real Time Systems.
  • 10 years with model-based software code generation.
  • Experience any of the following tools for Code Generation: Matlab/Simulink, State Flow, Rhapsody or Cameo modeling tools.
  • Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts.
  • Experience with safety critical systems and real time systems.
  • Familiar with SYSML.
  • Ability to troubleshoot low level software/model issues.
  • Capable of developing C and / or C++ code that can be maintained and updated over decades.
  • Demonstrated trouble shooting, problem solving, learning capabilities, and multitasking capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication Skills
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience.
  • Ability to resolve issues that can be unusual and difficult to solve.

Additional Skills Desired:
  • Experience with SAFe AGILE Framework.
  • Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps Pipeline.
  • Experience with GIT, DOORs, Jira / Bitbucket / Confluence, gdb, or QT is a plus.
  • Experience with CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering desired.

Additional Information:
  • This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance).
  • Previous experience working in defense industry desired but not required.
  • Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required.
  • Able to travel to support offsite loads and testing when needed.
