Environmental Test Technician performs tests on various LRU' s and analyzes samples based on requirements.

Performs test validation, Ensures that lab equipment is maintained in an orderly and safe fashion.

Completes tasks as directed by the test plan.

Assists with general laboratory support and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the lab.

Reports on findings using computer software.
Associates Degree or equivalent

Job may require travel to military bases for 2-4 week at a time

Must be able to obtain appropriate site clearances

Must meet ASR

Must have electro-mechanical AND environmental testing background

 

Must have solid knowledge of the following electronic transducers and their associated signal conditioning:

Pressure transducers, strain gages, piezoelectric accelerometers, LVDT’ s, string Pots, load cells, hot wire anemometers, Voltage and current, pitot tubes, flow meters, T/C’ s

Solid knowledge of data acquisition techniques and hardware. A working knowledge of “ Signal Express” software package or SOMAT Data Acquisition systems a plus.

Working knowledge of Lab View Programming

Hydraulic test experience required

Working knowledge of MS office and strong computer skills

Working knowledge of Abrams Main Battle Tanks and Stryker Family of Vehicles preferred

Working knowledge of calibration and metrology techniques

Needs Soldering skills, wire harness manufacturing experience

Must be able to represent Environmental Test and GDLS at customer sites

Occasional overtime required
