Compliance Manager & Facility Security Officer (FSO)
Location: Plymouth, Michigan
Salary: Commensurate with Experience

Job Summary: The Facility Security Officer (FSO) & Compliance Manager serves as the primary liaison with the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA), ensuring the company's compliance with import, export, ITAR, DDT regulations, free trade agreements, and other security protocols. This role oversees adherence to the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and insider threat management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure full compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations.
  • Stay updated on government regulations related to import and export activities.
  • Determine export licensing requirements and facilitate necessary applications.
  • Manage documentation for importation of products.
  • Conduct employee training on relevant government regulations.
  • Respond to customer requests for reporting information.
  • Collaborate internally to ensure consistent reporting activities.
  • Maintain a secure IT environment in conjunction with the IT department.
  • Assist employees in obtaining and maintaining personnel clearances.
  • Manage the security program to maintain facility clearance.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Enforce Visitor Security Policy and Insider Threat Program Plan.
  • Conduct security awareness and Insider Threat training.
  • Interpret and apply government security policies to company operations.
  • Perform self-inspections and prepare for security inspections and audits.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Five years related experience and/or training;or equivalent combination of education and experience.
