A leading technology company is seeking a skilled Operations Engineer to install and integrate advanced augmented reality systems at manufacturing facilities across the U.S. And internationally. Based in Southeast Michigan, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on environments, enjoys frequent travel (up to 80%), and can take full ownership of technical projects in the field.

You’ll lead the setup and deployment of high-performance automation systems: configuring hardware, troubleshooting issues, and training plant-floor personnel. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, is mechanically and electrically inclined, and can work independently with minimal oversight.

Location: Southeast Michigan (On-site with 80% Travel)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire- Benefits start on Day #1

Salary: Up to $70, 000 (Based on experience and education)

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, integrate, and troubleshoot advanced AR-based automation systems at customer sites.
  • Work with hardware such as projectors, PCs, 3D vision systems, and related peripherals.
  • Coordinate site logistics and serve as the on-site lead for installations.
  • Provide customer training and resolve system issues both remotely and in person.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, and support teams to ensure successful system delivery.
  • Own and drive the quality, completeness, and functionality of every system deployment.
  • Maintain clear documentation, status reports, and task tracking during integration projects.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in mechanical/electrical installation, troubleshooting, and system integration.
  • Comfort with AV components, PC hardware, PLCs, and industrial controls.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interface directly with customers on-site.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities while traveling.
  • Familiarity with project coordination, system documentation, and support ticket systems.
  • Vocational certification or associate degree in a technical field required;bachelor’s in engineering or related field is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and meet physical requirements (lifting, climbing, etc.).
