Field Service Engineer- Road Warrior Needed!
Job Description
Position Details:
Location: North Royalton, OH
Compensation: $70, 000-$90, 000+ base salary, per diem for travel, $700 monthly car allowance, and comprehensive benefits including health* (traditional and HSA plans available), dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan. Overtime available.
PTO: 10 vacation days, 5 personal days (3 weeks total).
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens. While programming is not required, the ability to troubleshoot within the software is essential.
- Experience with tube processing, steel industry machinery, and production line maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other technical documents for installation and functionality.
- Associate degree in Applied Sciences with a focus on Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field is preferred;equivalent experience will be considered.
- Willingness to be a true road warrior, with up to 60% domestic and 10% international travel.
- Prior field service experience is required (minimum of 5 years).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installations, startups, training, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs for industrial strip processing equipment in the automotive and steel tubing sectors.
- Troubleshoot and repair systems, providing clear instructions on electrical, PLC, HMI, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Professionally communicate with customers regarding repairs, training, and troubleshooting, collaborating with engineers on unique system challenges.
- Oversee and guide others in testing, tuning, and adjusting machinery for optimal performance.
- Relay customer feedback and product improvement suggestions to management, acting as the company’s representative in the field.
