Field Service Engineer
Job Description
Location: North Royalton OH
Salary: $70, 000 - $90, 000+ (Depending on Experience) + Excellent Benefits including $700/month Car Allowance
About Our Client: They are the leading expert in strip processing equipment used in production lines worldwide. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional field service, repair, installation, and troubleshooting solutions for industrial tube and steel processing equipment and machinery. With a focus on customer satisfaction and technical excellence, they are seeking a full-time Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform off-site installations, startup, and training on industrial strip processing equipment/machines for automotive and steel tubing markets, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct standard preventative maintenance and routine or emergency repairs with precision and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues both on-site and remotely.
- Instruct others on machinery repair procedures as needed.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers regarding repairs, training, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with internal engineers to resolve complex system issues and contribute to product improvement suggestions.
- Supervise and direct field activities, including testing, tuning, and adjustment of machinery for optimal performance.
- Provide feedback to management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and areas for improvement.
- Strong hands-on problem-solving skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Experience in the tube processing or steel industry preferred.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and machine specifications.
- Associate degree in Applied Sciences with a focus on Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant trade preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Willingness to travel domestically (60/70%) and internationally (10%).
- Proficient in basic hand tool use, welding, cutting, and machine rebuilding.
