Our client, a renowned leader in strip processing equipment utilized across global production lines, is currently seeking a dedicated full-time Field Service Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial tube and steel processing equipment and machinery. With a commitment to excellence, our client delivers exceptional field service, engineering expertise, and technical support to a diverse clientele spanning the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Headquarters: North Royalton, OH
Compensation: $70, 000-$90, 000+ base salary. Per diem while traveling + $700 monthly car allowance + Health*/Dental/Vision Benefits & 401k plan
*Traditional and HSA plans available. 
PTO- 10 vacation days, 5 personal days (3 weeks)
 

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong hands-on problem-solving skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Experience in the tube processing industry, steel industry, and production line repair and maintenance is considered advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other machine specifications to determine installation procedures and equipment functionality.
  • An Associate degree in Applied Sciences with specialization in Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant Trade is desired and preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 60% and possibly internationally up to 10%.
  • Five or more years of demonstrated Field Service experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform and oversee off-site installations, startup, training, standard preventative maintenance, and routine or emergency repairs on industrial strip processing equipment/machines for automotive and steel tubing markets in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and provide instructions to others effectively and efficiently on a broad range of system issues including electrical, PLC, HMI, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic functions of machinery.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs, training, troubleshooting, and consult with engineers to resolve unusual problems in system operations and overall maintenance.
  • Supervise, direct, and inform others in the field regarding testing, tuning, and adjustment of machinery to achieve optimum operating performance.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements, serving as the eyes and ears of our client in the field.
