Location: Southeast Michigan (On-site with extensive travel)
Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Compensation: Up to $75K Base Salary + Day One Health Coverage with 75% of monthly premiums covered + 401K Match + $100/Month Cell Phone Reimbursement + Bonus opportunities
About the Role
Our client is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to support system installations and integrations at customer sites across the U.S. And internationally. This is a travel-intensive role (50–80%) suited for someone who enjoys working in the field, troubleshooting technical issues, and seeing projects through from installation to end-user training.
Key Responsibilities

Install, integrate, and test complex hardware and software systems at customer sites, including AR-based automation, projectors, PCs, 3D vision systems, and peripheral equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving computers, AV components, PLCs, and industrial controls.

Lead on-site installation efforts, coordinate logistics, and manage on-site activities with minimal supervision.

Provide training and technical support to plant-floor personnel, both remotely and in person.

Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to internal teams.

Maintain documentation, status reports, and task tracking throughout each project.

Ensure systems meet quality standards before delivery.
Qualifications

Vocational/technical certification, associate degree, or equivalent field experience required;bachelor’s degree preferred.

Hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical installation, troubleshooting, and system integration.

Strong PC, hardware, and AV system skills;PLC or industrial control experience a plus.

Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.

Ability to work independently in customer environments.

Willingness to travel extensively (50–80% domestic and international).

Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work in varying environments;use of tools, lifts, and other equipment required.

Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment screening.
